The Musharraf/Bhutto conflict exposed as an elaborate ruse, for reasons explained here. Turns out that both of them need to replace the old Supreme Court with a new one to avoid the prospect of some disquieting decisions. Jurists may play an essential role in legitimizing capitalist processes of wealth accumulation, but at the price of punishing those they consider excessively greedy and corrupt. Bhutto fears that she is going to be sacrificed so that the others who looted Pakistan along with her can be rehabilitated.
